Ironmen varsity lose close one to London

The Ironmen defence showed their usual dominance in a close 11-7 loss to the rival London Falcons. The Ironmen led by DE Matt Brady completely shut down Londons run game forcing the Falcons to to throw interceptions to Dylan Campbell, Steve Ventresca, and Anthony Dinguanna.

The defence gave up only one TD after the Ironmen offence was intercepted in Ironmen territory. Besides the odd carry and a Ryan Silvestri 22yd TD run early in the game the Ironmen offence looked inept and one dimensional. QB Ryan Brady was sacked numerous times as he struggled to find receivers down field all day. ” Offensive inconsistency, turnovers, and penalties killed us again ” stated Coach Underhill. “The team will have to play with a sense of urgency if we are going to be successful against London in the playoffs”.
