Jason Opoku-Serebour (Brampton, ON): Rochester Technical (Junior College) commit – video

CFC reported earlier this week that defensive line standout from Brampton, Ontario Jason Opoku-Serbour has committed to attending a Junior College in Rochester, Minnesota – Rochester Community & Technical College. Jason has been playing football for 11 years in the Brampton Bulldog organization.

In 2010 his high school team won the Peel region championship, his minor team won the championship, and he was a member of Team Ontario West at the Football Canada Cup.

In 2009 Jason set the OVFL sack record with 15.5 and he won Wettges division MVP.

Jason gives a lot of the credit to his parents. “They came to Canada for a better life. They did not know anything about this country at all but were still able to own and mange a successful business. It was because of them i started playing football…they sign(ed) me up so i could stay out of trouble.”

Jason’s most memorable football experience ” was when my high school football team won the 2011 ROPSSAA championship and went from a losing program to a winning program. Last year we were 2-6 and this year (2010) we were 7-1 champs. Also a good memorable experience is when i made team ontario and met a lot of top players and made friends with them.”

Jason is looking forward to the new challenge of playing football in the United States. He will be leaving shortly for his new experience. Best of luck Jason.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
