JOB: Head Coach & Program Manager, Men’s Football

Heading into our 132ndΒ year of the Men’s Football Program, the University of Ottawa has a history of success in winning both provincial and national championships. We are committed to continuing this long tradition of excellence and are seeking a dynamic head coach with proven leadership skills and a history of success. The University has identified football as one of its national recognition programs and has committed to investing significantly into the program over the coming years.

The Head Coach and Program Manager will have access to a new, year-round, multi-sport domed stadium, centralized football operations as well as a strong support structure that encompasses academics, marketing and communications and long-term athlete development services. The University of Ottawa is a leader in the OUA and the CIS in student-athlete support, including scholarships, academic support, and medical and paramedical services.

The Head Coach is responsible for coaching and long-term program development. The incumbent manages the program with the resources provided to ensure the academic success and athletic development of the student-athletes. The Head Coach helps the University build community support for the football program and contributes to resource development initiatives to enhance the student-athlete experience.

With a proven track record of success in coaching at a highly competitive level, the incumbent has demonstrated expertise in organizing and managing all program components with positive results. The Head Coach’s strong technical background in the sport of football is supported by practical experience, a university degree, and Level III NCCP certification or equivalent. We are looking for a professional who is able to share the values that are consistent with the high standards of the University of Ottawa and our mission to provide quality education. Bilingualism – French and English (spoken and written) is an asset.

This is a permanent, long-term rolling contract with full benefits.
