Kevin Mackey, new Cougars head coach

After more then ten years as head coach for the Champlain College Cougars, Jean-Francois Joncas will be stepping down and handing the reigns over to Kevin Mackey, the former coach of the Bishop’s Gaiters.

As reported in laTribune, Joncas has accepted another position which the details have not been released yet. As it was not an easy decision, Joncas has confidence in his replacement.

Mackey had announced that he would be leading the Sherbrooke Bulldogs when he resigned as the head coach of the Gaiters. He now states that he will be acting in a consultant role only with them given his new position.
