Kicking & Long snapping camp: Queen’s University March 31st


This camp is designed with the specifics of special teams in mind. Participants will be coached on proper kicking and punting techniques by CFL Hall of Famer and current kicking consultant for the Gaels and the BC Lions – Don Sweet who has recently worked with Paul McCallum (BC Lions) and Sean Whyte (Montreal Alouettes).

KICKING AND LONG SNAPPING CAMP 2012
(Ages: 14+)

March 31, 2012 (8:30am – 4:30pm)
on Tindall Field at Queen`s University $100

Also helping with the kickers will be the Gaels all-time leading scorer and OUA All-Star, Dan Village. Participants will have the opportunity to get 1 on 1 coaching on the finer points of Punting, Field Goal Kicking and Kickoffs. Former Gael and current Saskatchewan Roughrider
– Rob Bagg will teach the kickers how to hold.

For the Long Snappers, current Hamilton Tiger-Cat and former Gael – Kevin Scott will be providing coaching on how to become an effective long snapper. Also helping out will be Vanier Cup Champion and current Gaels coach – Pat Corbin, along with current Gaels long snappers.

The Gaels coaching staff will be present at the camps, led by head coach Pat Sheahan,
defensive coordinator Pat Tracey (former Hamilton Tiger-Cats Special Teams Coordinator) and Gaels Special Teams coordinator Ryan Bechmanis.

Camp Schedule:
8:30 am – Registration
9:00 am – On field Session #1
11:00 am – Video Session
12:00 pm – Lunch
1:00 pm – Watch the Gaels Practice
3:00 pm – On field session #2
5:00 pm -Off the field
