Laurier coaching staff “cares about players”

Laurier brings in an Ontario commit to their Class of 2018.

A dedicated football player constantly seeks to improve and Cooper Hamilton, an offensive lineman from Nantyr Shores High School, plans on doing just that with the Sir Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks.

“I felt like it was a great team atmosphere and that the coaches really cared about their players. As well, I felt that the school was for me and it was the best place I could continue my pursuit of being the best o-lineman I could be,” Hamilton said.

“The staff is awesome, and I feel that Coach Irv and Coach Faulds are very great men that I could learn from and follow for the next four to five years,” he added.

Hamilton, who is from Innisfil, Ontario, has played for a total of three teams in his ten-year career, two of which are the York Region Lions (OVFL) and the Nantyr Shore Titans (Simcoe County Athletics Association). This past season, his team captured their first ever Georgian Bay Secondary School Association championship. Hamilton was one of four captains on the team. The 6’7, 265lbs athlete is interested in kinesiology or a program in health sciences.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
