Laurier adds two local commits and one GTA commit to their 2018 class.
Quarterback Cameron Stienbach from Sir John A. MacDonald Secondary School, linebacker Donte Shanghie from the Scarborough Thunder (OVFL) and defensive back Jahnei Powell from St. David Catholic Secondary School will be looking to earn their wings with the Laurier Golden Hawks when they hit the field with the team this fall.
Cameron Stienbach
Cameron Stienbach is a former member of the SJAM Highlanders (WCSSAA) and the Cambridge Lions (OPFL). The 6’4, 190lbs athlete has experience as both a quarterback and wide receiver. He is from Waterloo, Ontario.
Donte Shanghie
Donte Shanghie is from Scarborough, Ontario, where he played for the Thunder since 2015 as a strong safety. In 2015, he was named as an OVFL junior all-star.

Jahnei Powell
Jahnei Powell spent his high school career with the St. David Celtics (District 8) in his hometown of Cambridge, Ontario. Standing at 6’1, 170lbs, Powell also played with the Cambridge Lions.
