Laval adds size to offence, welcomes 2

Laval adds two local commits to their 2019 class.

Offensive lineman Jean-Antoine Dean-Rios and receiver Douglas-Surf Biron from Campus Notre-Dame-de-Foy will be staying close to what they know after signing with the Laval Rouge et Or.

Jean-Antoine Dean-Rios

Currently located in Saint-Augustin de Desmaures, QuΓ©bec, which adjacent to QuΓ©bec City, Jean-Antoine Dean-Rios will be sticking around the area after signing with Laval. At a hulking 6’5, 315lbs, he has played as a tackle and guard on Le Notre-Dame du CNDF (RSEQ Division 1).

Douglas-Surf Biron

A fellow teammate of Dean-Rios, Douglas-Surf Biron is also a large presence at 6’4, 215lbs. The tight end and slotback has been playing for Le Notre-Dame since 2016. According to HUDL, he can run the 40-yard dash in five seconds, can bench 240lbs and bench a clean 205lbs. In his only season as a tight end, he had 26 receptions for 435 yards and two touchdowns. When he was younger, he played for the Mini Rouge et Or. The product of QuΓ©bec City was a linebacker with the St. Patrick’s Fighting Irish (RSEQ) during high school.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
