Laval lands Ottawa Quarterback Alex Skinner (Cumberland / St Pete’s)


QB Alex Skinner of Ottawa, who played for Kimball Union Academy in the fall, committed to the Laval Rouge et or yesterday.

“I am excited” Alex said. Alex confirmed with CFC that he told coach Constantin yesterday about the news. Alex went on an official visit to Quebec City January 5th and 6th.

Alex has had a great pre-university career. He finished the fall season with Kimball Union with a 6 and 2 record. Prior to that Alex led his summer league team, the Cumberland Panthers, to the OVFL final where they played the Essex Ravens in a 39 to 32 thriller.

Alex has competed in Quebec before, leading the Team Ontario U17 East team in the Football Canada Cup at Sherbrooke in 2008. There he played against Team Quebec and Sherbrooke commit Jeremi Roch, losing a thrilling 17 to 16 match where Quebec scored with 15 seconds remaining.
