Laval quarterback Tristan Grenon threw three touchdowns Sunday as the No. 1-ranked Rouge et Or stayed undefeated with a 46-10 win over the Concordia Stingers in Canadian university football action.
Playing in the absence Bruno Prud’homm, who suffered a concussion two weeks ago, Grenon completed 24-of-36 passes for 272 yards for the Laval (5-0).
“Tristan has made good reads and did a good job. He was hungry, and now the guys have responded well,” said Laval head coach Glen Constantin.
Guillaume Rioux and Yannick Morin-Plante were his favourite targets as both had five receptions and one touchdown each.
Pascal Lochard led Laval on the ground with 82 yards and a touchdown.
Laval’s defence conceded only 173 yards to the Stingers, with the vast majority coming in the second half. Arnaud Gascon-Nadon managed four tackles.
