Laval’s 2017 class keeps growing, adds another recruit

Vanier Cup champions bring in another local-area commit.

When you’re given the chance to stay home, in a city that you love, why not take it? That’s what Mathieu Robitallie, a wide receiver from CΓ©gep Limoilou, did after committing to the Laval Rouge et Or.

β€œI grew up in QuΓ©bec City with the dream of one day play for Laval,” Robitallie said. He has spent his life and football career in QuΓ©bec City, having played with the Les Centaures d’école secondaire La Courvilloise (RΓ©seau du sport Γ©tudiant du QuΓ©bec) for five years and the Titans du CΓ©gep Limoilou (RSEQ Division 1) for two.

The 6’0, 175lbs football player will be making his dream a reality next September. He will also have a chance to work with a coaching staff that he described as being really good. β€œI think it’s the best place for me to develop as a player,” Robitallie said.

The future business administration student was named the Rookie of the Year in the RSEQ Collegial Division 2. In 2016, he was part of the Football Canada team that won the world championship in China.
