Cole has been playing the sport for the last seven years. Growing up in Thunder Bay, Cole played in the summer and fall programs as well as two years of under-16 as a defensive back.
Currently, Cole is a member of the Westgate Tigers in the Superior Secondary Schools Athletic Association (SSSAA).
Cole’s highlight from last year was when he got to play in two games for his team.
“It was a great season with great coaching and amazing teammates,” adds Cole.
Rob Thompson is one of Cole’s coaches and the most influential person in his life.
“He is an amazing coach and I would have to say I have learned everything from him,” adds Cole.
His future plans are to continue playing the sport as long as his body will physically allow him.
“You can’t just focus on one sport you have to be able to play multiple sports and I used to dance, yes I danced,” adds Cole of his other interests.
So far the recruitment process has been off to a slow start due to sailing. At the end of the month, Cole will be heading to the NCAA Division 2’s University of Minnesota Duluth for some valuable instruction.
Cole’s training regime is compiled of resistance training. In his opinion, it’s the best thing for someone who is still growing to do to prevent damage to growth plates. He also does power dead lifts, bench presses, some running and squats.
To improve for the next season of football, Cole wants to be quicker and faster. He would also like to lose some weight.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
