He will be part of CEGEP Division 1’s Vanier Cheetahs for his first year of college.
The best moment of his last season with the Warriors was beating their rivals in the quarterfinals. βWe were a weaker team but it was a magnificent team win. We played so well as a unit and we could really feel the bond between the players. Iβll never forget the chills down my back on the sideline when I saw the clock whisper down to 0.β said the athlete.
The recruiting process has been βpretty excitingβ up to now. The player also admitted being open to any CIS schools because βthey all look really promisingβ. Concordia, McGill and Laval are at the top of his list, but he wants to focus his entire mind on the upcoming season for the moment.
His source of inspiration comes from his father. βHe holds everything to a high standard. He teaches me that everything in life needs to be done properly, perfectly, detailed and efficiently. The bond between me and my father is powerful and I look up to him on and off the fieldβ maintained De Francisco Paul.
At the moment, his training regiment consists of working out at a crossfit gym, where he does weightlifting and anaerobic workouts, and going for a run on his local football field to improve his footwork. βMake it interesting, and make it fun. But take it seriouslyβ said the linebacker.
βLike every offseason, it is time to make gains. I am pushing myself harder in the gym and on the track. It is important to realize we havenβt peeked yet and there is always room for improvement and we need to utilize that potential.β mentioned the player.
He hopes to improve his speed, endurance and strength during the off-season.
βI want people to know that I am a fighter and I bring the people around me up. I always put the team first so I play where I am needed, not where I wanted. I am a teammate and a team player, not just a player.β affirmed De Francisco Paul.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
