Nicky Farinaccio
Nicky Farinaccio is a linebacker for his hometown St. Leonard Cougars in QuebƩc.
Farinaccio has a 6’2 188lb frame and also plays Special Teams having the ability to run down the field and attack the ball carrier. His speed, Farinaccio says, is a big role in what makes him good at his position.
“My speed gives me an edge. You truly need to have a high IQ as a linebacker and my speed helps with that.”
Farinaccio places a lot of emphasize on family and football as a single unit.
“(Football) is like family to me, it means a lot to me,” he says. He goes on to say how his family has also been a major support factor in his football career.
“My big brother was definitely a big influence on me. He was a top prospect in his years and he has showed me everything I know and for that I am thankful.”
Farinaccio has played football for over eleven years and says his favourite moment was winning a championship with his family there to support and celebrate with him.
He adds going through the recruitment process “couldn’t have been better,” and that he hopes to attend CollĆØge AndrĆ©-Grasset, a private college in Montreal, QuebĆ©c.
Farinaccio intends on making an impact right away at the beginning of his post-secondary career, and he’s not afraid to say how he will go about doing it.
“I’m going to bring my ass to the gym everyday and improve my skills and my speed (during the off-season).”
He also added that he will “Give the best I can and give myself a spot in the starting lineup.”
Farinaccio is a player to look out for when he hits the field during his post-secondary career either at CollĆØge AndrĆ©-Grasset, or anywhere else for that matter.
The one intangible Nicky Farinaccio has, is his drive.
