Primarily a linebacker but also a tight end, Farrell has played for the St. Stephen Silverados of the Fundy Minor Football Association since he was ten years old.

When he was fourteen, Farrell tried out for Football New Brunswick’s Under-17 team and made the roster as a starter, repeating the feat this year as well. In his second year of peewee, Farrell won a Team Leadership Award.

At 6’1, 200 pounds, Farrell says that he works hard for what he gets, adding that he’ll do anything to improve his game. Farrell states that the highlight of his last season was the regional championship game, and while the Silverados did not win, he cited the game as a great bonding experience.

Farrell admits that he doesn’t have any plans for university as of yet, having not put too much thought into it because he is only going into grade ten. He also stated that he is thinking about attending Mount Allison University, as a current coach of his played there, commenting on the greatness of the university’s football program.

Farrell does add that he wants to do something that “involves working in the public and working with people.”

Farrell’s workout routine consists of light weightlifting and drills that focus on speed and footwork, with his goal being to tone his muscles and increase his flexibility.

During this offseason, Farrell says that he is getting personal help from coaches to improve his game.

Keegan cites his brother and his father as the most influential people in his life, stating that “both are hardworking people that show determination, proving that no matter how hard things get, it’s gonna be better with hard work.”
