He then played with Team Quebec 2015 and Team Canada 2016. He also got invited to be part of the Team Canada 2016.
Poirier currently plays with CEGEP Division 1’s Champlain-Lennoxville Cougars.
βA lot of CEGEPs approached me, but I decided to go to Champlain-Lennoxville because I was feeling good in that school,β maintained the linebacker.
He claims that the best moment of the last season was to win the Bol dβOr with his teammates.
The athlete hopes to be successful in the United States. Poirier will do some camps in the NCAA and he considers the University of Michigan.
The three people who represent his influence are his dad, Will St-Juste who is the Laurentides-Lanaudières Wildcats coach, and Claude Pelletier, his gym coach.
βMy dad has always been there to show me the right way, and Will St-Juste is the one who made who I am today. Also, Claude Pelletier helped me to become stronger and to be a better linebacker,” added Poirier. Β βBefore every game, I thank my parents and everybody that helps me to be where I am right now.”
His goal for next season is to get quicker and bigger.
βI train five times a week. I run a lot, do agility drills and one-on-oneβ added the linebacker.
Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
