When asked to describe linebacker Alex Crook, his teammates will all tell you the exact same thing – he is not afraid to hit. This may not seem that important as Crook plays football and plays the linebacker position, perhaps the most physical position of all but the connection between him and physicality is a special one, it is one that has been rooted in Crook’s life since he started taking Jiu Jitsu at a very young age. This love for competition and physicality is what drew Crook to the sport of football.

“I grew up doing Jiu jitsu and always enjoyed contact sports. In grade nine I went out to play football because some of my friends were playing and it looked really fun,” says Crook.
