Karl-Cedrick, a current Mont Bleu player has been playing the game over the past four years.

During his time in the game, he has managed to win Rookie of the Year, All-Around Lineman of the Year and MVP honours.

He joined the sport due to friend involvement and the recommendation of a coach at Mont Bleu.

The highlight of this young defensive player was his last game of the previous season, where he finally got on the scoring sheet and played one of what he considers to be his best defensive games.

β€œMy mom, my teammates, my Offensive Line coach and my personal coach,” says Karl-Cedrick of who are the most influential people in his life and in the sport.

Overall, he credits the game for bringing many positive aspects to his life.

β€œ[Football] completely changed my life,” says Karl-Cedrick. Β “Because of it, I was able to meet all kinds of people.”

β€œI’m extremely passionate about my craft. Iβ€˜m really confident in my own skills and capacity as a player; I don’t mind being a follower, but if I have to I will stand up and take help.”

The standout plans to go into psychology after high school and possibly become a psychologist or something in a similar field. Up to this point, he believes recruitment is going well and that at least six CEGEP schools are interested in him.

Throughout the year, Karl-Cedrick trains hard.

β€œIt depends on the time of year because depending on it I have soccer practice two times a week, then three football practices and every day I go to my school gym,” adds the lineman.

In the summer, his plan is also to attend speed camp to improve his speed and agility for next season.

Karl-Cedrick believes the sport has helped him gain leadership, confidence, good judge of character, the ability to motivate people and to be a fighter.

β€œIt has taught me respect, it taught me how to keep moving forward or keep my head high even if the situation is desperate,” adds the lineman..

His advice to younger players is very simple.

β€œHard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard and also never take anything for granted,” says Karl-Cedrick. Β “Just stay humble and keep the hustle.”
