Local recruit “excited to get started” with Dinos

Calgary running back joins local CWUAA team’s 2016 class.

Daniel Blackmore gets the opportunity to play in his own backyard for his CIS career.

Recently, the 5’11, 185 pound running back committed to the Calgary Dinos.  Blackmore will join the team for the 2016 CWUAA season.

“I chose to play for the Dinos because it’s nice to stay at home and still play for such an elite program,” explained Blackmore of his decision.  “All the coaches and players were open and honest when meeting with them and I felt very welcome.”

“I agree with their idea of being a very well-rounded gentleman as well as an athlete. I feel a great fit with the high pace offence run by Coach [Ryan] Sheahan and I’m excited to get started!”

The running back has previously played for both the Henry Wise Wood Warriors of the Calgary Senior High School Athletic Association (CSHSAA) and the Bulldogs of the Calgary Area Midget Football Association (CAMFA).  He has also represented his home province as a member of Team Alberta’s under-18 squad.
