Local recruit signs with Blues

Mississauga slotback joins OUA team’s 2016 class

Jaykwon Thompson is going to continue his gridiron journey in the big city.

Recently, the 5’10, 170 pound slotback from Mississauga, Ontario signed with the University of Toronto Varsity Blues.  Thompson will join the team for the 2016 OUA season.

“The reason I chose to commit to University of Toronto is simple,” explained Thompson of his decision.  “Everybody on that team is family; I grew up and played with most of the players on that team.”

“We have such a great history and I figured what better way to make a statement in University ball then to do it with my brothers. And after a few visits I felt like I could be a great asset and bring a lot of what this team is looking for.”
