Local recruit sold on Dinos’ reputation for success

Calgary offensive lineman joins CWUAA team’s 2015 class.

Spencer Roy will be commencing his CIS career at home.

The 6’4, 310 pound offensive lineman has committed to the University of Calgary Dinos.  Roy will join the team for the 2015 CWUAA season.

“I committed to Calgary because it has had so much success on and off the field, it has the academic programs that I want to get into and Calgary’s academic support for the football players is like no other, they strive to get their players into the real world after football which is what really opened my eyes,” explained Roy of his decision.  “When I went for my workout and your of the program and school, I felt like I was already a part of the team.”

“Football-wise, it has a tremendous strength and conditioning program.  Calgary also has had great success in terms of their linemen production, they build their linemen to be bigger and stronger than everyone else and that’s really what I like about University of Calgary.”
