Local recruit’s “decision to commit to Queen’s quite easy” (VIDEO)

Sydenham running back joins OUA team’s 2015 class.

Brodie Latimer has gone with his instincts.

Recently, the 6ā€™0, 180 pound running back from Sydenham, Ontario has signed with Queenā€™s Gaels.Ā  He will join the team for the 2015 OUA season.

ā€œI committed to Queenā€™s because of the feeling I got when I went for my first tour on campus,ā€ explained Latimer of his decision. ā€œThe sense of its tight-knit community is something I didnā€™t find on any other campus.ā€

ā€œI could not pass up the opportunity to not only play for the Gaels but also receive an education from one of the best post-secondary institutions in Canada. Many of my family members attended Queenā€™s, including my uncle who was on the team that won the Vanier Cup in 1992. The coaching and recruiting staff was beyond affable, never letting my questions or concerns go unanswered and making my decision to commit to Queenā€™s quite easy.ā€
