Lokombo, Charles and Gaydosh top three ranked prospects heading into 2013 CFL Draft (RANKINGS)

TORONTO – The Canadian Football League Scouting Bureau today published its final edition of the top 15 ranked prospects prior to the 2013 CFL Canadian Draft which is scheduled for Monday, May 6 at Noon ET (TSN).

Bo Lokombo, a 6’3″, 233 pound linebacker from the University of Oregon, remains as the top prospect heading into the draft.

Rounding out the top five are University of Regina defensive lineman Stefan Charles (2), University of Calgary defensive lineman Linden Gaydosh (3), McMaster University offensive lineman Matt Sewell (4) and Eastern Michigan defensive lineman Andy Mulumba (5).

The players who made the biggest jump after a strong showing at the CFL Combine presented by Reebok were University of Calgary linebacker Mike Edem who jumped four spots to 10 and Universite de Laval wide receiver Seydou Junior Haidara who appears on the ranking for the first time at 11.

Stefan Charles

In total, seven CIS standouts cracked the 15-player list, equaling the number from the second report published by the CFL on Dec. 12 and one less than on Sept. 19.

After being ranked fifth in September and 13th following the CIS season, Calgary running back Steven Lumbala was left off the final Top 15.

A year ago, Ben Heenan, an offensive lineman from the University of Saskatchewan offensive, topped the first two Scouting Bureau lists before dropping to second place in the third and final rankings. In May, he became the sixth CIS player in as many years ā€“ and the 10th in the past 13 years – to be selected first overall in the CFL Draft when the Saskatchewan Roughriders called his name at No. 1.
