London recruit views Blues as “rising” program (VIDEO)

London offensive lineman signs with OUA team.

Eddie Nam has recently been in a Toronto state of mind.

That’s because the 6’1, 300 pound offensive lineman from London, Ontario signed with the University of Toronto Varsity Blues. Nam will join the team for the 2015 OUA season.

Overall, academics as well as reputation played a significant role in his decision.

“I chose University of Toronto because of its strong academic programs and its rising football program,” elaborated Nam.  “Moreover, since I am an international student, I wanted a school that is internationally well known.”

A native of Seoul, South Korea, Nam has resided in London for the past eight years.  This past November, Nam guided the AB Lucas Vikings of the Thames Valley Regional Athletic Association (TVRAA) to an OFSAA Bowl victory.  He served as captain and was a lineman on both offence and defence.

Currently, he is playing for the London Jr Mustangs of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).
