There is still a possibility that the BCFC has an undefeated team by season’s end but no team in the league will be able to claim total perfection. The VI Raiders and Langley Rams made sure of that in Week 2 by dueling to a thrilling 31-31 draw last Saturday. Both teams now sit tied atop to the standings with identical 1-0-1 records.
Both teams will try to improve their respective records to 2-0-1 this Saturday when Week 3 in the BCFC resumes with all three league games taking place that day.
The day’s action begins with the Kamloops Broncos (1-1) making the trip to the Island to take on the Westshore Rebels (1-1) at 4 pm. The Rebels are coming off a convincing 46-8 win over the Chilliwack Huskers (0-2) while the Broncos were on the wrong end of a 35-7 decision against the Okanagan Sun (1-1) last week.
The marquee match of Week 2 will see the VI Raiders play host to the Okanagan Sun at 5 pm. The Langley Rams will host the winless Chilliwack Huskers at 8 pm.
