Chance is an offensive tackle for the Swift Current Colts of the Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association (SHSAA).

Last season, the Colts ended their regular season with a 3-3 record, which was good enough to make it into the playoffs. For Chance, the highlight of the season was when he played a game under the lights game against Moose Jaw Vanier in front of 800 fans.

“I think the highlight of my season was that we had a first ever under the lights game at home where we were down a couple touchdowns against the Moose Jaw Vanier and we came back and scored three more touchdowns in the last five minutes of the game,” says Chance.

Chance works hard to achieve success. In addition to weight training and practicing during the season, he takes part in the Saskatchewan Skills Camp each summer.

“They help me with the top coaching, help my footwork and hand positioning,” adds Chance. Ā “I’m doing different drills I haven’t seen before that are much more helpful, and agility ladder to get quicker feet.”

Chance’s parents have provided him support throughout his career.

“If it wasn’t for my parents Trent and Jeanne I wouldn’t be as good as I am right now in life,”

The University of Regina Rams have already expressed interest in the Colts standout. Since grade nine, the Regina Thunder of the Prairie Football Conference (PFC) in the Canadian Junior Football Conference (CJFL) has been interested in him as well.

“I thought it was pretty cool since I am only in grade 11 and getting looked at already,” adds Chance.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
