Brandon has been playing football since he was nine years old. He joined the junior varsity Medicine Hat Hawks in grade seven.  The team was Tier 3 Provincial Championship finalist.

During his time with the senior varsity Hawks, he was Defensive Back of the Year and selected as a Rangeland Conference All-Star.

Brandon’s favourite game last season was when the Mohawks beat their crosstown rivals the Crescent Heights Vikings. It was redemption as the Mohawks were defeated by the Vikings in 2012.

“They had beaten us the previous year which had not happened for a long time,” he says of the victory.  “Our whole team played great and it was the most rewarding win of the season for me.”

Brandon says that the biggest influence in his life and in football has been his mother.

“She has always supported me, tried to come to all my games, and taught me many things like hard work and honesty,” says Brandon.

The recruitment process has been educational for Brandon. In talking with coaches and players from different teams he has gained a great deal of knowledge of the game.

He is still contemplating his options for 2016 and is open to travelling anywhere in Canada to pursue his football career and an education in engineering.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
