Mandalfino begins quest to find future gridiron home

Anthony Mandalfino is raring to go on the field.  Moreover, he is reaching for significant goals to achieved in 2014.

Anthony began playing football at six years of age. He started playing with various house league teams of the Burlington Minor Football Association (BMFA.)

He also played with with the Burlington Stampeders of the BMFA and for the Assumption Crusaders of the Halton Secondary School Athletic Association (HSSAA.)

Anthony’s most memorable moment in his football career was his second year with the Crusaders.

“It was a fun year,” said Anthony.  “My best friend was the quarterback and it was a lot of fun just playing together.”

Throughout his career, Anthony has surrounded himself with individuals support and encourage him to achieve his goals. In particular, his father has been a key source of motivation.

“He got me into football in the first place, and he coached me throughout high school,” said Anthony.

Anthony is about to encounter a busy time in his life in the coming months.  Even though had a good season this past year he wants to have an even better campaign in 2014.

Anthony has also been a constant presence in the weight room.

“I do a workout program that has football specific exercises,” said Anthony.  “It gives a bit of an edge.”

Anthony will be taking one more year of high school.  He looks at this upcoming year as a good opportunity.

“Its an extra year to work and get stronger,” said Anthony.

At this point, he is open to any future schools for the next stage of his gridiron career.

“I am open to anybody,” said Anthony.
