The Manitoba AAA high school football league started with a bang last night. The bang was heard at St. Paul’s (CFC #15), where the defending champs trounced the visiting Kelvin Clippers.
The home team scored early and often, led by a ferocious and opportunistic defense that had 6 interceptions in total. CFC blogger and Football Canada Cup all-star lineback D.J. Lalama, had one of those picks and returned it to the house for 6 points. Teammate Leon Cenerini had a solid game on special teams. The offense was led by a strong running game and QB Theo Deezar (Team Manitoba). Final score 65 to 0.
