Manitoba: Team Bryan takes the senior bowl title in Winnipeg

Team Bryan and Team Kinley (named after legendary high school football coaches Frank Bryan and Graham Kinley) played a spirited affair on Saturday, and ending game to many great high school careers in Manitoba. Under the direction of Winnipeg Rifles offensive co-ordinator Cory Waldbauer and University of Manitoba Bisons secondary boss Rich Urbanovich, the teams fought to a 22 to 10 final, with Team Bryan finishing on top.

Oak Park quarterback John Kiesman, a member of Team Bryan, and St. Paul’s linebacker D.J. Lalama (Western commit), who suited up for Team Kinley, were named players of the game.

Oak Park running back Nic Demski (Manitoba commit), scored the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter and Sisler’s Zach Monkman recovered a fumble to secure the game.

Kicker Brad Mikoluff (5’10” 256) was key in the victory with his kicking and punting performance. The Winnipeg Rifles are looking forward to him participating in their summer camp.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
