Marauder training camp opens Monday

Training camp for the defending Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) Vanier Cup Champion McMaster Marauder football team will open at Ron Joyce Stadium on Monday, August 20.

Daily practices are open to the public.

2012 Training Camp will run from 8:00 am to 11:30 am each day with a special teams practice from 4:00 to 5:00 pm until Thursday August 23rd.

Media are advised that in Week 1 of camp, players and coaches will be available for interview and photo opportunities during the period from 11:30 am to 12-noon.

The Marauders will practice from 7:00 to 10:00 am Friday, August 24th before travelling to Quebec City for their pre-season game against the Laval Rouge et Or. The Marauders will hold a joint practice with Laval on Saturday, August 25th and then take the field for a rematch of the 2011 Vanier Cup teams on Sunday, August 28th with a 1:00 pm kickoff. The Marauders open the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) conference season at home against the Guelph Gryphons on Labour Day, Monday, September 3rd. Kick off at Ron Joyce Stadium is set for 1:00 pm.
