CEGEP receiver newest recruit to join RSEQ team’s 2014 class.

When Giordano Marinello finally made his commitment decision, one statement said it all.

“Montreal is built to win a championship soon,” commented Marinello.

The 5’9, 184 pound wide receiver and punt/kick return specialist from Terbonne, Quebec is the newest Montreal Carabin.  He will join the team for the 2014 RSEQ season.

“Montreal has a top football program in the nation and their administration program is one of the best in the province,” added Marinello.  “Secondly, their coaching staff is filled with experience on and off the field.”

The Quebec offensive standout recently completed a stint with CEGEP Division 2 team, John Abbott Islanders.  In the 2013 season, Marinello amassed 673 receiving yards on 30 receptions, seven receiving touchdowns, 68 rushing yards on five carries, one rushing touchdown, 418 yards on 12 kickoff returns, 187 yards on 14 punt returns and scored a touchdown on a return in seven games. For his efforts on the field, he was selected as a CEGEP Division 2 All-Star.
