Moncton mustangs

Moncton is coming off there 5th strong season in a row with many of there veterans returning. Most outstanding offensive player Steve Cormier will once again be Moncton’s go to man in the Backfield. They also have key returnees Dwayne Ells , Bob Giffard and Kevin Jones. Moncton has also added many fresh faces to their roster including various CIS recruits looking to gain experience on the field. Moncton is looking to Defend the championship for the 5 th straight time.

Saint-John Wanderers

The Saint John Wanderers seemed as the heavy favorite last season and were upset in the semi final by the Darthmouth Knights in one of the most entertaining games the MFL has ever seen. The Wanderers will be without Doug Macphee , the 2011 player of the year but still have league all stars Kurtis Nicholson, Jon Galacki and Jon Haines all in the lineup. All star kicker/punter Jeffrey Macquade is also back on special teams. Most of there core guys have also returned and looked strong at this years jamboree.

Capital area Gladiators

The Capital Area Gladiators have been the leagues hardest working program for the past 3 seasons. The Gladiators went through some hardfought seasons but have remained together and are looking alot stronger come this season. The Gladiators have added DB Bobby Macintyre in the lineup, who was a an all star with the Moncton Mustangs last season. Josh Blanchard will be on the field, Defensive workhorse Tyler Doak will return to the Gladiators lineup after a strong season in 2011. DB Mike mcsorley will also help what seems to be a very strong Gladiator defence.

Halifax Shockers

The Halifax Shockers will be without the leagues most outstanding special teams player Greg Pelly this season, who proved to be one of the leagues most dynamic players with the football. The shockers have most of last years players back and have added some of the Darthmouth Knights to the lineup to make the team stronger. Key returnees will be Offensive lineman Grant Fraser , Rec Luke Williams and DB Jamaal Edwaards.

The Maritime football league will have some very high pace football games this season with good veterans and new faces rounding up all 4 teams. The pre season jamboree gave fans a good taste of what the league would bring them in 2012.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
