McGill “amazing & complete package” for Calgary recruit (VIDEO)

Calgary tight end joins RSEQ team’s 2016 class.

Andrew Biddell will be moving to La Belle Province to begin his CIS career.

This past week, the 6’5, 227 pound tight end from Calgary, Alberta committed to the McGill Redmen.Β  Biddell will join the team for the 2016 RSEQ season.

For his part, Biddell found the perfect academic environment for him to thrive in future years.

β€œThe main reason I chose McGill is because it is such a great fit academically,” elaborated the offensive standout.Β  β€œA McGill degree is arguably the most prestigious Canadian degree to have as it is an outstanding academic school.”

β€œThe culture in Montreal is like no other and the city has so much to offer. I will be taking business and there are so many career opportunities.”

However, football equally played a prominent part in his decision.

β€œThe football at McGill is exactly what I was looking for,” expressed Biddell.Β  β€œThe Redmen are a young team that is up and coming.”

β€œThe way that Coach [Ron] Hilaire has come in and turned the program around is remarkable. McGill has the top recruiting class of 2016[#CFC27], which also influenced my decision. Overall, McGill is an amazing school and the reason I chose it is because it is the complete package.”

Recently, Biddell completed his high school career with St. Andrew’s College Saints of the Conference Independent Schools Athletic Association in Ontario. Prior to the Saints, the tight end suited up for the Western Canada Redmen as well as the Calgary Wildcats of the Calgary Area Midget Football Association (CAMFA).
