McGill announces final 31 recruits for 2011 class (videos)

The McGill Redmen announced their recruiting class for the 2011 season. The class includes 14 defensive players (DB – 6, LB – 1, DL – 7) and 17 offensive players (QB – 2, RB – 2, OL – 4, REC – 9). Head coach Sonny Wolfe had this to say about the off season recruiting efforts:

“We are very happy with our 2011 recruiting class, a class of athletes that spans from coast to coast. McGill is a first-class institution that allows us to attract a special kind of student-athlete. Our coaching staff did a great job over the past months securing commitment from some special young men.”

Olivier Cain-Tremblay was second in sacks (behind Mehdi Abdesmad) in the CEGEP AAA league. QBs Dallon Kuprowski (QJFL) and Jeff Tichelman (BC – AAA high school) both lead their teams to championships in 2010. Elliott Leeflang was one of the top lineman in Canada that stayed north of the border.
