McGill “wonderful set up” for CEGEP recruit (VIDEO)

CEGEP defensive back joins RSEQ team’s 2016 class.

McGill Redmen is continuing their success in the recruitment drive this summer.

Olivier Gilbert-Couture is the newest Redmen.Β  The 6’3, 190 pound defensive back from Ancienne-Lorette, Quebec will join the team for the 2016 RSEQ season.

β€œMcGill offers me the opportunity to study in English in my field ( collegial/university sports teacher),” explained Gilbert-Couture of his decision. β€œBeing fully bilingual and playing with a university football program, McGill is a wonderful football set up and I believe that McGill will be competitive in the future!”

This fall, Gilbert-Couture will complete his final season with CEGEP Division 1 team, Campus Notre Dame de Foy (CNDF).Β  Not only is he a defensive back, but he plays on special teams.Β  His testing results are as follows:Β  4.43 second 40yard and 4.09 T-test.

Previous to CNDF, the defensive back suited up RSEQ Juvenile Division 2’s Polyvalente Ancienne-Lorette Athletiques under the guidance and instruction or former Laval and BC Lions player Bernard Gravel.

β€œI would like to tanks Coach [Marc-Andre] Dion, Coach [Sebastien] Levesque, Coach Coulombe and Coach Masson for giving me their time and teaching me football,” expressed Gilbert-Couture.Β  β€œI would like to thanks my parents for supporting me inside during my football career all these years!”
