Ultimately, the Montreal, Quebec campus provided an avenue for him to return back to pursuing his academic pursuits in an English institution. Furthermore, the reputation of the school was an added bonus.

β€œI committed to McGill because I have studied all my life in an English school and having to go through the transition from English to French when I decided to go to Γ‰douard-Montpetit,” elaborated De Villers-Riel.Β  β€œIt was very difficult and I wanted to go back in English.”

β€œThe education at McGill is considered very prestigious and it is a chance in a lifetime to study in one of the best universities in the world.”

β€œI feel that in their hands I will have all the tools and all the help I need to become the best I can be and to help the program as much as I can.”
