McMaster adds Ottawa St. Joes / Team Ontario Linebacker Brown

McMaster has added another all star from eastern Ontario to their 2011 recruiting class. Spencer Brown, Team Ontario East (2009 & 2010) and St. Joe’s Jaguar linebacker, has committed to the Mauraders.

Spencer was the best defensive player in Ottawa Tier 2 football playing for the undefeated, Tier 2 champion, St. Joseph Jaguars. He has also played for the Nepean Redskins (NCAFA) and Myers Riders (OVFL) during his career.

McMaster head coach Stefan Ptaszek is extremely happy to have Spencer commit to the Mauraders.

“We are excited to welcome the Brown’s to the Marauder football family. I am very confident that Spencer is going to be a positive force on our entire campus.”

Spencer had this to say about his decision to travel south west to the Westdale (West Hamilton) campus.

“I felt like Mac is going to be a positive influence on me academically and athletically, the coaches are great and I’m looking forward to working with them over the next few years.”

Spencer joins fellow Team Ontario East player Sean Smith in the Mac class of 2011.
