McMaster grabs newest recruit from London region (VIDEO)

London lineman newest member to join OUA team’s 2015 class.

Connor Dawson experienced something unique at one CIS school.

Consequently, the 6’3, 318 pound lineman from London, Ontario signed with the McMaster Marauders.  Dawson will join the team for the 2015 OUA season.

“When touring universities, Mac just felt different,” expressed Dawson after his commitment to the Hamilton, Ontario school.  “It’s a large school with a small school feeling.”

“I felt very much at home at McMaster from day one. A large part of why I chose McMaster came from academics as the school has an amazing reputation. The coaching staff assured me that football would not get in the way of me achieving high grades while attending school. The support systems they have in place for athletes to make sure they succeed made me feel very assured I would get the help I may need. Finally, I really like the coaching staff at McMaster. The amount of experience on the field is amazing, and I feel that I can learn a lot from them.”

The lineman has previously suited up for his high school team, Saunders Sabres of the Thames Valley Regional Athletic Association (TVRAA) as well as the London Jr Mustangs of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).
