McMaster head coach suspended for one game

McMaster University issued a statement on Tuesday, Oct. 2 regarding an incident by head coach, Greg Knox and an official during the Wilfrid Laurier game on September 22, 2018.

According to Global News, Knox got into an altercation on the sideline with a member of the sideline crew. The team received a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for his actions. The university has since issued a one game suspension and has placed Knox on leave pending the results of the hearing.

3downnation said that while McMaster stated that the suspension was issued by the OUA , the OUA says otherwise. However, a hearing has been underway and the results of the hearing will not be made public until the process is wrapped up.
