McMaster lands Etobicoke recruit (VIDEO)

Etobicoke linebacker newest recruit to join OUA team’s 2015 class.

Tyler Grymek-Nifo will be moving cities for the next stage of his gridiron career.

Recently, the 6ā€™0, 215 pound linebacker from Etobicoke, Ontario committed to the McMaster Marauders. Grymek-Nifo will join the team for the 2015 OUA season.

Ultimately, the strength of both the academic and football programs was enough to sway the Ontario defensive standout towards the Hamilton, Ontario campus.

ā€œThe reason I committed to McMaster is because it is the school that fit me best in terms of education, and football,ā€ explained Grymek-Nifo of his decision.Ā  ā€œEducation wise, McMaster is not only a top school in Canada, but in North America as well.

ā€œThis was a large factor in deciding where I was continuing my education. In terms of football, I believe that I will be able to be the best I can be under Coach (Stefan) Ptaszek, and Coach (Greg) Knox. I especially feel that I can excel as a linebacker because of the unique techniques and knowledge coached by the defensive coaches.ā€

Grymek-Nifo is completing his final season with the Etobicoke Collegiate Institute Rams of the Toronto District Secondary School Athletic Association (TDSSAA).Ā  Additionally, the linebacker has suited up for the Etobicoke Eagles of the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL).
