Humber started playing the sport when he was five years old, in Ontario, and continued playing there until he moved to the Maritimes, playing six and ten-man football in Amherst, Nova Scotia.

In Grades 9 and 10, Humber was named Defensive MVP for both his six and ten-man teams. This past season, Humber transferred to Tantramar Regional High School in Sackville, New Brunswick, a move that paid off for him as the Tantramar Titans of the New Brunswick High School Football League (NBHSFL) went undefeated on their way to a provincial championship, an experience that Humber describes as β€œan amazing time with the team.”

Humber admits that he hasn’t overthought his decision about which CIS school to attend, but says he has talked to Acadia, Mount Allison and Saint Mary’s, as well as a couple of CEGEP schools. Humber stated that the schools he has talked to have been nice to him in every way, but as of now he has not been heavily recruited.

Humber would like to visit as many universities as possible, as he has some offers. Off the field, Humber says that he would like to study psychology and sociology at university, but he is also interested in becoming a barber.

Humber makes an effort to train every day, whether it be lifting, running sprints or doing positional drills. For the upcoming season, Humber plans on perfecting the techniques that he has acquired recently.

Humber credits his parents for being influencing him a lot, in particular his father, who got humber into football, also giving him valuable advice as both a coach and a father. Humber’s biggest on-field inspiration is Tennessee Titans OT Taylor Lewan, who Humber describes as being able to manhandle the best defensive linemen in the NFL.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
