Millington to Montreal, Colbon to Camp

The Gee-Gees’ Ezra Millington has been signed to a two-year contract with the Montreal Alouettes. The Newmarket native and three-year Gee-Gee will head to training camp after spending his spring training time in Ottawa with the Gee-Gees and King Football.

Millington’s key season with the Gee-Gees came during the 2010 run to the Yates Cup. He was a key part of the talented backfield which together amassed the most receiving yards in the nation that season and stands tops in Gee-Gee history.

Millington collected 295 yards on 18 catches in five games before he was sidelined by injury. Four of his catches were cashed for touchdowns. He returned to contribute a 53-yard touchdown in the OUA semifinal victory.

Millington also suited up for the Gee-Gees in 2007 and 2008, when he served as one of the team’s primary returners as well as wide receiver.

In addition, uOttawa quarterback Aaron Colbon has been invited to the Alouette camp to practice with the team. The Ottawa native threw for 2052 yards last season – good for sixth in the CIS.
