When you talk about the importance of branding in sports, your mind instantly pictures organizations such as the Dallas Cowboys or New York Yankees, who have made billions off of building identities that are recognizable worldwide. These of course are the titans of the industry who use their brand power to generate revenue, but a strong brand can generate much more than just cash flow if used effectively.

At the high school level, budgets are small and time is limited with results on the field taking precedence, so I feel like the importance of a strong brand often gets lost in the shuffle.
