CEGEP receiver becomes fourth CFC TOP 100 player to join Vanier Cup champions

Vanier Cup champions Laval Rouge et Or has added another CFC TOP 100 player to their 2014 class.

Etienne Moisan recently committed to the RSEQ team. The 6’1, 200 pound receiver (plays both wide out and inside) from St. Eutasche, Quebec’s final decision was between the Rouge et Or and the Montreal Carabins.Β  Ultimately, the Vanier Cup champions came out on top.

β€œI hesitated a lot with Montreal; for football they have everything I want but the problem was school. I had to wait a whole year to improve my notes and get it my program which is business,” explained Moisan.Β  β€œIt was hard to make a decision also with all my friends that committed lastly with Montreal, but at the end of the day, the school has decided for me.”

β€œNow I am glad to be part of a big football tradition with the Laval Rouge et Or.”

The CFC TOP 100 receiver said the academics and football program are solid at Laval and is looking forward to making an early impact on the team upon arrival.

β€œI have decided to go to Laval mainly because of school,” commented Moisan β€œI have the opportunity to get in my program in my first year of university.”

β€œAlso, it is obvious that Laval has a good winning football program, the city loves football (popularity) and the facilities are amazing. Β Also, I have the chance to contribute sooner with two veterans that are gone this year and another one leaving next year.”

The Quebec standout recently completed his CEGEP career with Division 1 team Vanier Cheetahs. Previous to the Cheetahs, Moisan suited up for his high school team, RSEQ Juvenile Division 1B’s Polyvalente Deux-Montagnes Centurions. In 2011, he represented his home province as a member of Team Quebec at the Football Canada Cup in Lethbridge, Alberta.

Moisan joins three other CFC TOP 100 players at Laval – quarterback Hugo Richard, offensive lineman Francis Chabot and receiver Anthony Dufour.
