Montreal Carabins lose appeal: Lose game against St. Mary’s


The RSEQ (Sports Network Student QuΓ©bec) announces that the sanction against the Carabins the University of Montreal for the use of an ineligible player in college football’s game of September 17, 2011 against the Saint Mary’s Huskies is maintained by the “Appeal Committee of First Instance”.

Carabins are thus imposed a loss by forfeit by the score of 1-0. Note that the statistics of the game remain in force.

The University of Montreal now has until Friday, 16:30 to appeal the decision to the Appeal Board proceedings end. This is their last resort in the structure of RSEQ appeal process.

Because of this decision, the Carabins now have two wins and three defeats.
