Mount Allison welcomes two out-of-province commits and one local commit to their Class of 2017.

Drawn by its small-time charm, Michael Kraeker, a defensive lineman from Saint James School, CFC100 Malcolm Miller, an athlete from Football North and CFC100 Charles Lavallée, an offensive lineman from École L’Odyssée will be pursuing their football dreams with the Mount Allison Mounties.

Currently at a college prep school in Maryland, Michael Kraeker is familiar with tiny classes. Learning in an intimate setting was a factor that drew him to the university. He said that Mount Allison’s smaller classes appealed to him. “I felt I really fit in there,” he added. “I enjoyed the chemistry of the teammates and coaching staff and the campus felt like home.”

Kraeker also has a fondness for his future bench bosses. “I love the coaching staff,” he said. “Head Coach Brady is a great guy and I’m thankful for the opportunity to play for him.”

Prior to playing with the Saint James Saints, he played in his hometown of Ottawa, Ontario. In his ten-year career, he has suited up for Team Ontario, the Kanata Knights (OVFL) and the Ottawa Myers Riders (OVFL). Standing at 6’4, 255lbs, he is interested in either psychology or business. In his two years with the Saints, he has been an all-county and all-conference defensive lineman.
