MTA brings in Sackville, NB commit

MTA brings in another local recruit to their Class of 2017.

Aaron Rose, a linebacker from Tantramar Regional High School, will be following some of his teammates into the U Sports league after singing with the Mount Allison Mounties.

“I chose MTA because the school is incredible and the coaches and players genuinely care about you as a player and as a person. Also, growing up watching this team, it is really cool to get to keep playing in my hometown,” the product of Sackville, New Brunswick said.

Rose, who has suited up for the Tantramar Titans (New Brunswick High School Football League) and Football New Brunswick at the 2016 Football Canada Cup. He is pretty familiar with the Mounties sideline bosses. “The coaches are awesome. I have been coached by most of them either with Team NB or my high school’s spring camp, so I feel like I already have a relationship with them,” he said.

The potential commerce student doesn’t just feel a connection with the coaches, but his future teammates as well. “Really love the family aspect of MTA, and I think that the bonds the guys here have are unique to anywhere else in the country,” the 5’11, 215lbs player said.
