Myers Varsity: Great depth & rookies

Team Strength:
This 2010 Myers Varsity team should have considerably better depth at all positions for this season. There has been lots of tough competition for starting jobs with a huge return of veterans plus a strong graduating class of rookies from the Myers JV team last year. The team is much improved offensively and should be as good as last years’ Defence. The team will be quick and well coached.

For Success: Its important that the team continue their hard work and determination to improve. There are new schemes that players must learn and adopt and of course our players must recognize that all teams want the same thing. It is expected that our Conference will be very competitive again and likely the team that works and commits will be the one to go through to the finals. There will be no easy games.

Returning players. It is a veteran team supplemented with some very talented rookies. The return of DL, Ettore Lantannzio, Junior Peters, LBs AJ Palladino, Sam Sabourin, Drew Morris, Zach Hamilton should anchor a tough Defence. The Offensive Line is mostly intact with veterans Basam Taha, Jason Hoddinott and Anthony Temelini all returning. The QB position has been very competitive with Leith Fisken, Connor Edwards, Nick Chapman and Dallon Kuprowski all competing for the starting job. Tyler Crapigna will again handle the kicking chores for the team.

Players to Watch: Its difficult at this point to center any particular individual. The level of play in the OVFL is good every week, regardless of the team. We hope more fans can attend OV games this year to all the talent in Ontario
