Victoria OL thrilled to make CIS leap with UBC

Nanaimo offensive lineman signs with CWUAA team.

Kyle Harrington predicts great things for his new team in future years.

The 6’4, 260 pound offensive lineman from Victoria has committed to the University of British Columbia (UBC) Thunderbirds.  Harrington will join the team for the 2015 CWUAA season.

“I decided on UBC because they are close to home, I like what Coach [Blake] Nill is doing with the program and I think that UBC will be a great program in the next few years,” expressed Harrington.  “Now I want to make the jump to CIS football which I am extremely excited about.”

Previously, Harrington completed a stint with Westshore Rebels in the British Columbia Football Conference (BCFC) in the Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL). This past season, he started every game at the right tackle position for the Rebels.

Additionally, the offensive lineman played for community team, Victoria Spartans.

Advocating for football prospects one story at a time.
